Officers found the man unresponsive in an alley in the 2700 block of West Flournoy Street with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, police said.
A 33-year-old man was killed in a shooting Saturday night in Lawndale on the West Side.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert about 10:30 p.m. and found the man unresponsive in an alley in the 2700 block of West Flournoy Street with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, Chicago police said.
He was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead about 3:40 a.m. Sunday, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The medical examiner’s office identified him as Devon Jackson, a resident of Longwood Manor.
Police initially reported there were no witnesses to the shooting. Area Four detectives are investigating.
