A male was fatally shot Tuesday night in Lawndale on the West Side, police say.
The male, whose age is unknown, was walking about 7:40 p.m. in the 3400 block of West 18th Street when multiple people exited a vehicle and began shooting at him, Chicago police said.
He was struck in the head and chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified him.
No one is in custody, police said.
