Tyrell Cohen, 25, is believed to died of electrocution while climbing a power substation in a Raleigh, N.C., Wake County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Eric Curry told the News & Observer.
Tarik Cohen sent out social media messages on Saturday looking for help in finding his brother, whom he said was in a single-car accident early Saturday morning. Cohen said then that he was possibly injured, and was wearing a red shirt, black pants and white shoes. He has since deleted the Tweet.
Tyrell and Tarik Cohen were fraternal twins separated at birth by two minutes. In 2017, Tyrell Cohen told the Sun-Times that he felt like he was on the field when he watched his brother.
“When he takes a hit, it’s like I take a hit,” Tyrell Cohen said then.
Tarik Cohen’s half-brother brother Dante Norman, was shot and paralyzed in 2019.
“I feel like I was injured also,” Cohen said of Norman in July 2019. “Someone I’ve been around my whole life. I feel like we’re one.”
