Two busy roads in suburban Hillside will be closed for the rest of the day after a driver lost control and caused a multi-vehicle crash in the parking lot of a Walgreens that left a pedestrian dead, authorities said.
Around 1 p.m., a driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the parking lot of a Walgreens at the intersection of Butterfield Road and North Wolf Road in Hillside, authorities said.
Aerial video from NBC Chicago Sky 5 showed three crashed vehicles with visible damage in the parking lot. Debris could be seen scattered around them.
Several pedestrians and cars were in the area when the crash occurred, authorities said.
Wolf Road and Butterfield Road will be closed for the rest of Wednesday, a Village of Hillside spokesperson said.
