Zachary Dubofksy was allegedly driving near Mayflower and Rosemary Road when he struck 62-year-old Stephen Kennedy and fled the scene, Lake Force police said.

A Glenview man was charged with striking a pedestrian and fleeing the scene of the incident last November in suburban Lake Forest.

Zachary Dubofksy was allegedly driving near the intersection of Mayflower and Rosemary Road in the morning of Nov. 16, 2020, when he struck 62-year-old Stephen Kennedy and fled the scene, according to Lake Forest police.

Kennedy was transported to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where he later died of injuries from the crash, police said.

Officers located the white Ford F-150 pick-up truck used in the incident and determined Dubofksy, 24, was the driver at the time of the crash.

Dubofksy was arrested Tuesday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injury.

His next court date is scheduled for May 4.
