A man was fatally shot Saturday after getting into a fight in a parking lot in Austin on the West Side.
About 4:30 p.m., the 28-year-old was in a parking lot in the 3500 block of North Austin Avenue, when he got into a fight with a person who pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest, Chicago police said.
He was brought to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified the man.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
