The 55-year-old was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in “very critical condition,” officials said. 

A woman was in critical condition Friday after being struck by a vehicle in the Loop.

The crash happened about 5:20 p.m. in the first block of East Jackson Boulevard, Chicago fire officials said.
