Police seek family of 4-year-old girl found on West Side

A girl named Nia was found Wednesday morning in the 700 block of North Central Avenue in the Austin neighborhood.

Police are asking for help locating the family of a 4-year-old girl found wandering on the West Side Wednesday morning.

A girl, named Nia, was found around 5 a.m. in the 700 block of North Central Avenue in the Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.

She couldn’t provide police with information beyond her first name and age.

Police asked anyone who knows her family to call Area Four SVU detectives at (312) 746-8255.
