Child Injured After Car Crashes Into House in Belmont Cragin

A child was injured Wednesday afternoon after a car crashed into a house in the city’s Belmont Cragin neighborhood, according to fire officials.

Officials said a car crashed into a house in the 2700 block of North Central Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m., injuring a child and possibly one other person.

The child, whose age and sex is unknown, was rushed to Lurie Children’s Hospital where their condition is unknown.

An ambulance remains on scene and the incident is under investigation. There is currently no further information.
