Halloween trick-or-treat hours: When to trick-or-treat in Chicago, suburbs for 2024

Costume? Check. Candy? Check. Bucket? Check. But do you know what time trick-or-treating takes place in your neighborhood on Halloween for 2024?

This year, Oct. 31 falls on a Thursday, and Chicago as well as the surrounding suburbs have specific trick-or-treat times designated by their local government or village. In some cases, trick-or-treating starts as early as 10 a.m., or takes place on a day other than Halloween.
