An autopsy has shed more light on the deaths of two employees found dead in the utility rooms of a suburban condo complex.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, 53-year-old Steven Weigensberg and 53-year-old Juan Medina were both found unconscious in the utility rooms of a condo complex in the 1500 block of East Central Road in Arlington Heights Friday afternoon.
Police and fire department first responders reported it was “clearly evident that two people experienced traumatic injuries and were beyond medical care,” authorities said. Both men were pronounced dead at an area hospital.
On Sunday, it was revealed that Weigensberg had died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
It was also revealed that Medina suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, and it is believed that he died by suicide.
Authorities said that the two men were an employee and a supervisor at the condo complex, and that the incident was isolated in nature.
No further information was immediately available.
