Wintry conditions commenced across the Chicago area on Saturday morning as a snowstorm began to grip the region.
Snow began falling in the morning, covering entire roads and causing some issues for drivers in the hours ahead of the storm’s expected peak. The highest snowfall rates weren’t expected until later on, however, specifically between 12 and 8 p.m.
In total, between six to 10 inches of accumulation are expected. Some spots have already seen a few inches, and the snow is far from over.

O’Hare Airport – 3.2 inches
Plainfield – 3.3 inches
Romeoville – 3 inches
Tinley Park – 2.8 inches
Wadsworth – 2 inches
