Chicago Bears fans needing to warm up during Saturday’s game at Soldier Field can enjoy a popular hot beverage that’s served with a Chicago twist.
A “Chicago-style” hot chocolate, consisting of hot cocoa infused with Jeppson’s Malört and Amaretto, will debut during the primetime matchup between the Bears and rival Green Bay Packers, according to Levy, the food, beverage and hospitality partner of the Bears.
Topping off the unique beverage is a toasted Salted Caramel Marshmallows from XO Marshmallow.
The beverage’s key Chicago ingredient, Malört, flew under the radar for many decades before exploding onto the scene in the early 2010s. The liqueur is extremely divisive, with most drinkers loathing the drink’s aftertaste, while others appreciate its abrupt and bitter flavor.
