A person has died and another was injured after a crash on the Bishop Ford Freeway on Sunday morning.
According to Illinois State Police, the crash occurred in the outbound lanes near 130th Street just after 1 a.m. Sunday.
The driver of a Nissan SUV was transported to an area hospital following the crash, and was later pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of a semi-truck involved in the crash was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
All outbound lanes of the Bishop Ford were closed for several hours after the crash and reopened just after 5 a.m., police said.
No further information on the crash was immediately available.
