Former Bears head coach Matt Nagy lands job with Giants: Reports

Former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy has a new job, reportedly being hired as offensive coordinator for the New York Giants.

The move was reported my multiple outlets, including ESPN’s Adam Schefter and the Associated Press.

Nagy spent the last three seasons as offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, helping the team to a Super Bowl title in Super Bowl LVIII and was the coordinator as they reached another, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles last season.

His contract with the Chiefs expired following the season, and he was replaced by Bears running backs coach Eric Bieniemy in his role in Kansas City.

Nagy was hired by the Bears as their head coach prior to the 2018 season and led the team to a division title, making two playoff appearances before he was fired after the 2021 season.

Now Nagy will join the coaching staff of Giants head coach John Harbaugh, who takes over in New York after a nearly two-decade run with the Baltimore Ravens. Nagy will be tasked with maximizing the talent of Jaxson Dart, and he will also get to work with wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo, among other players.

For those keeping track at home, the Bears do not play the Giants during the 2026 season.
