The Chicago Sky have re-signed guard Courtney Vandersloot, bringing back their all-time leading scorer.
Vandersloot only appeared in seven games last season before suffering a torn ACL, averaging 10.6 points and 5.3 assists per game.
She’s excited to be back with the Sky according to a press release, and will join a team that has been reshaped in numerous ways so far during the offseason.
“I truly believe the Sky are building something special, which made it a no-brainer to sign back,” Vandersloot said. “Finishing last season with an injury was disappointing, but I’m eager to be back on the court.”
According to the Sky, Vandersloot became the team’s all-time leading scorer last season when she passed Allie Quigley on their points list. She is also the team’s all-time leader in games played, assists and steals, and is second in total rebounds.
She won the 2021 WNBA title with the Sky before signing with the New York Liberty, where she won a title in 2024.
She has been a five-time WNBA All-Star and a two-time All-WNBA First Team selection during her career.
She will join a Sky team loaded with new faces, including Rickea Jackson, whom the team acquired Sunday in a trade with the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Sky have also signed Skylar Diggins, Jacy Sheldon and Azura Stevens, while also trading Ariel Atkins and Angel Reese amid a flurry of moves prior to Monday’s WNBA Draft.
