At least three people were injured in a shooting on Chicago’s Near West Side Sunday morning, with one woman suffering severe injuries.
According to Chicago police, two women were sitting in a vehicle in the 100 block of South Honore at approximately 2:18 a.m. when a person in a silver sedan pulled out a weapon and opened fire.
Police say a 35-year-old woman was shot in the head, and she was rushed to an area hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
A second victim, a 36-year-old woman, suffered a graze wound to her head and was listed in good condition, police said.
A short time later, a third victim, identified as a 28-year-old man, transported himself to a hospital after he was shot in the right leg. He was also listed in good condition.
Area Three detectives are investigating, and no suspects are in custody.
