Popular kitchen brand recalls 12K grills over shattering glass hazard

Barbecue enthusiasts – along with anyone firing up the grill this summer – may want to check their grill’s brand and model number after a recall was issued.

Conair has recalled the stainless-steel Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill over concerns the tempered-glass window in the pizza oven can shatter during use, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. About 12,660 grills were recalled, including 83 sold in Canada.

The company has received 37 reports of glass shattering during use, and one fire was reported, according to the CPSC. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled grills feature a griddle, a stovetop burner and a pizza oven with tempered glass located on top of the lid of the grill. Affected units have the model number CGG-6331, which appears on a label on the inside of the right-hand metal door, along with the serial number.

The grills were sold at Lowe’s, Walmart and at cuisinart.com from December 2024 through May 2026.

Customers are urged to visit Conair’s website to determine if their grill is included in the recall.

Owners of affected grills should safely remove the tempered glass window on the pizza oven and upload two photographs to the company’s website – one showing the removed glass and one of the grill’s serial number.

After verification, consumers will receive a $500 refund by check or be reimbursed for the original amount with proof of purchase. Once the refund is issued, consumers should write the word “Recall” with a black Sharpie marker on the tempered glass and throw it away.
