The Chicago Bears will officially be without Caleb Williams on Monday, but could Tyson Bagent return to the field?
Saturday marked the final practice of the week for the Bears as they prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles, and the team made it official that Williams will not play on Monday, ruling him out with a hamstring injury.
However, the team did get some good news on the injury front, as Bagent returned to the field after clearing the NFL’s concussion protocol. He was listed as a full participant in the workout, and is now listed as questionable for Monday’s game.
If Bagent remains cleared, he could be under center when the Bears face the Eagles, with Case Keenum slotting in as his backup for the game.
The Bears also ruled out linebacker Noah Sewell and defensive lineman Shemar Turner, both of whom have begun practicing as they hope to be activated off the physically unable to perform list in the next few weeks.
Kicker Cairo Santos, who missed the first two practices of the week with a right hip issue, was a full participant on Saturday, and does not have an injury designation, meaning the team expects him to play against the Eagles.
Defensive back Tyrique Stevenson, who is dealing with a hamstring issue, and running back Kyle Monangai, who is dealing with a knee issue, also did not receive injury designations, meaning they will play Monday against the Eagles. The Bears and Eagles will tangle on Monday Night Football, with the game kicking off at 7:15 p.m
