Portillo’s teased the debut a new addition to its menu on Friday in an ominous social media post.
The iconic Chicago fast-casual restaurant shared a video on social media that shows a person walk into a restaurant in modern day before suddenly transforming into a black and white retro scene that appears to take inspiration from the 1940s.
The video ends with a screen that reads “something delicious is coming…”
Though Portillo’s did not say what the “something delicious” is, the caption did clarify that its release date is set for Oct. 6.
“go beyond the ordinary on 10/6,” the caption of the post said.
The restaurant also updated its profile picture and bio on Instagram to match the cryptic post.
Portillo’s previously also used a vague social media post to tease the launch of its new and enhanced dipping sauces in January.
