The Social Security Administration continued its tradition around Mother’s Day, releasing the list of the top baby names of 2025.
The list is released every year by the SSA, showing the top-10 names given to babies in the United States each year.
According to the ranking, the top name for boys was Liam, which the SSA says marks the seventh consecutive year the name has been top ranked.
The same is true of Olivia, which again topped the list for the seventh straight year, according to federal officials.
Noah, Oliver and Theodore were the next three on the list, maintaining their spots for the second straight year, while Henry rounded out the top-five.
Charlote, Emma, Amelia, and Sophia rounded out the top-five for girls’ names, according to the SSA.
The administration also released a list of names that increased in popularity the most in 2025, headlined by Kasai, Akari and Eziah among boys’ names and Klarity, Rynlee and Ailanny for girls’ names.
A Social Security website allows users to search the top names by year going back to 1880, according to officials.
